Bless Your Sweet Hands: Lemon Sugar Hand Scrub and {free} Printable Tags

All those sweet hands that influence our lives are in for a treat. A Lemon Sugar Hand Scrub is the perfect way to say thanks – to moms, grandmothers, teachers, or anyone you want to do something special for.

This sweet scrub is easy to make, just sugar, coconut oil, lemon zest and a little lemon oil. So simple, but it will leave your hands feeling smooth and wonderful! We’ve created a label for the scrub, plus a couple notes to add to your packaging.

Lemon Sugar Hand Scrub Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups sugar

1/3 cup coconut oil

lemon zest (about 1/2 of a lemon)

several drops lemon essential oil (you could you lemon extract)

Directions

Heat the coconut oil in the microwave until soft, but not melted (10-15 seconds). Add the coconut oil to the sugar and work it in until completely combined and crumbly. Add the lemon zest and lemon oil.

Package in cute well-sealed containers such as jars or tins.

I’ve tried these before and they’re wonderful! I love using coconut oil on my skin… it’s smoothing and soaks in rather well.

Beccylou – As long as you keep it in an air-tight container it will last several weeks! You’ll love the smell every time you open the jar!

Love this idea! questions for you: there are different types of coconut oil. I use one for cooking, but know that you can get it for stuff such as skin care. does it matter in this case which one to use?

The recipe makes about 2 cups so just adjust according to what size jars you want to use.

The Recipe makes about 2 cups of scrub. 4 oz jars are 1/2 cup so you would need to triple the recipe – good luck~

Jaimee – I printed the labels on cardstock and cut with the Fiskars 2.5 inch punch. I did not purchase labels.

Cheri – to use the scrub simply apply a small amount to your hands and rub it in, then rinse. The sugar will exfoliate your skin and the coconut oil will leave your hands feeling oh so soft!
