Cinnamon Peach Syrup

If you follow our blog, you know we love breakfast, and we love breakfast for dinner.  I also love fresh peaches and can’t find enough ways to use them.  This sweet and chunky Fresh Peach Syrup is a delicious upgrade to any pancake, waffle or French toast.   Add some bacon on the side and serve it up hot!

As evidence of our breakfast love, check out these other syrups and breakfast toppers {We highly recommend them all ;)}:  Buttermilk Syrup, Apple Cider Syrup, Cinnamon Syrup, Maple Apples, Cinnamon Apples, Fresh Blueberry Sauce, Raspberry Syrup, Jam Butter

2 cups water

1/4 cup sugar 2 tablespoons brown sugar

1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons cold water

1 tablespoon butter

Directions

In a large saucepan, combine the 2 cups of water with peaches, sugar, and brown sugar.  Bring to a boil, then reduce and simmer, uncovered for 15-20 minutes.

Combine the cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of cold water until smooth.  Slowly add to the peach mixture and bring to a boil again.  Cook for 2 minutes or until thickened.  Add butter and stir until melted. Serve with pancakes, waffles, or French toast.
