Turkey Day is fast approaching – I can’t wait!  The best part of Thanksgiving, of course, is being with family and friends.  We always like to come up with  fun ways to involve the kids-  Candy, of course, always grabs their attention!

This year, we decided on these adorable turkey cupcakes made with REESE’S® peanut butter cups, candy corn, and candy eyes.  As you can see, these little guys are almost too cute to eat!

Turkey {or Chicken} and Wild Rice Soup

By now you probably have your Thanksgiving menu planned and have begun your preparations for the feast; if not be sure to check out 101 ideas here!  We are together in Colorado, we have the turkey defrosting, and the bread drying for stuffing {our favorite part of the meal}.

Sausage Cornbread Stuffing



Stuffing is one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving dinner.  Years ago while I was working my way through college, my boss had a holiday dinner every year and would serve Turkey with all the trimmings, including Sausage Cornbread Stuffing.  I couldn’t wait for that dinner each year.  One, because I was a starving student and a home-cooked meal was heavenly.  Second, because I loved the cornbread stuffing.   The mix of cornbread and sausage is an inspired combination -like peanut butter and chocolate – they are just made for each other!
