Sweet and Spicy Caramelized Bacon

Because of the late Thanksgiving date this year, Christmas is coming fast. There are so many wonderful holiday ideas we decided throw in a weekend edition of Caramel Potatoes {Yeah}.  Breakfast at the holidays with family and friends is so sweet.  We’ve brought you a couple of new additions this week you really need try.  I can’t wait to make Jocelyn ‘s Alfredo Brunch Potatoes, and the Swiss Eibrot is just so fun and incredibly yummy!

No matter what’s on your breakfast/brunch menu, it will always go with Sweet and Spicy Bacon caramelized in Balsamic and Brown Sugar! {YUM}. The spicy goodness comes from a little Cayenne, but if you don’t want the heat you can leave it out and just go with SWEET!

Sweet and Spicy Caramelized Bacon

Ingredients

8 strips thick-sliced bacon

2 tablespoons light brown sugar

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

Cook bacon in a large non-stick skillet until crisp; drain on a paper towel-lined plate and pour off drippings.

Add sugar, balsamic vinegar, and cayenne to skillet; simmer over medium heat, 30 seconds.  Reduce heat to low, return bacon to skillet and turn strips to coat.

Now your day is going to be really delicious!

Here’s a few more Holiday Breakfast ideas to go with your Caramelized Bacon!  Don’t you just love a good breakfast?
