DELISH: Fall Inspiration

It is October and definitely the season of pumpkin spice!   One of our favorite pumpkin treats is Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Icing - we can’t get enough of these!   Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Blondies are easy to make and add some chocolate to the pumpkin bliss {double good}.   Or how about all the goodness of pumpkin pie and snickerdoodles in one great bar – Pumpkin Pie Snickerdoodle Bars!  Relaxing fall weekends or holiday guests call for Pumpkin Waffles topped with Apple Cider Syrup.   You can even add a little fall flare to any meal with Pumpkin Mac N Cheese or Pumpkin Knot Rolls.  And finally for those holiday parties, don’t forget this yummy Pumpkin Gingersnap Dip.  That should fix your pumpkin cravings for now . . . but stay tuned, we’ve got a few more pumpkin goodies coming up!

Fall is my favorite season of the year.  We have such a long, hot summer in Texas, it is such a relief when the temperatures finally begin to cool off a little.  Right now my house has been going through some painful repairs due to foundation troubles {big sigh}- the good news is I have new hardwood floors being installed next week!  Since I can’t do a lot of big decorating right now, I’ve taken note of a few small and simple ideas to add a little Fall Flare.  Here is what’s inspiring me.

I’m loving these chalk paint pumpkins from Perfectly Imperfect - Brilliant, by using the chalk paint it only takes one quick coat of paint to achieve that gorgeous color.

How clever-  a fall wreath made out of a vintage rake from BHG!

DELISH: Tangled Web Halloween Tea Lights

Sometimes it’s the simple things that makes life fun - don’t you’re kids just love decorating for the holidays?  These tangled web tea lights are an easy way to let them help with the festivities!  By using LED tea lights you can safely add an eerie glow around your house; or use them at each place setting to make your  Halloween breakfast and dinner deliciously enchanting!

Tangled Web Halloween Tea Lights

What you need:

baby food jars – large or small
orange or black yarn (48-60 inches for small, 60-72 inches for large)
Elmer’s glue
plastic spiders (optional)
LED tea lights

How to do it:

For each candle holder, dip yarn into a one-part Elmer’s glue, two-part water solution.  Squeeze out excess; wrap strand around clean baby food jar from top down.

When dry add an LED tea light and plastic spiders if desired.
