Baked Parmesan Crab Dip

We all love holiday parties!  The question is always- What do I bring?  Whether it’s a holiday party, game-day with friends, or a fun family get-together, you just can’t go wrong with this Hot Crab Dip.  Always a crowd favorite, your friends and family will be begging you for the recipe!

If you have a small gather -this recipe is just right (makes about 2 cups of dip), but I promise it will go fast!  If you are making it for a large party, you’ll definitely want to double the recipe {it will still be one of the first things gone}.

Baked Parmesan Crab Dip

Ingredients:

1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
4 green onions, thinly sliced (white and green parts), more for garnish
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
dash or two or hot sauce (Tabasco)
1/3 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
1 can (6 oz) crabmeat, drained thoroughly (or 6-8 oz fresh)
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spread sliced almonds on a baking sheet and toast in oven for 5-10 minutes or until they just begin to brown, stir once.  Set aside.

Mix cream cheese, onions, mayo, sugar, mustard,  Old Bay, lemon juice,  and hot sauce until well blended. Fold in Parmesan and crabmeat.  Spoon into a low 2-3 cup baking dish and cook about 25 minutes or until lightly brown and bubbly.

Remove from oven and sprinkle with toasted almonds and green onion tops.  Serve  with crackers, chips, or  toasted baguette slices.
